Go Barbie, girl!

Barbie made her own mark 50 years ago. I served as manager on this multimedia project that explores her influence. I also had roles as a videographer, reporter, producer and web designer. Check out “Closet of history” for a fashionable timeline about Barbie’s wardrobe over the years. Also included are historical facts about Richmond, VA.

As a behind-the-scenes note, the closet is actually JM3’s Hot Wheels storage container turned on its side. The shoes were loaned by a Barbie collector.

Hey, DJ!

TT Torrez and Dee Dee Renee, share their backgrounds and what connects them to their listeners.

Tracking nature’s footsteps

I spent a wonderful, but grueling week last year at the Knight Center for Digital Media at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. The multimedia training and the experience were mind-blowing. Our group project centered on professor Robert Full, a fascinating integrative biologist.

I designed the “Creativity” page after finding inspiration in the flying gecko.
